Today, you’ll immerse yourself in Hanoi’s rich history and vibrant culture. Begin at the historic Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum; an imposing monument lavishly built using marble and granite, where the embalmed body of “Uncle Ho” is at rest. Then continue to visit the Ho Chi Minh’s House. The simple house where Ho Chi Minh lived and worked is made of wood and enjoyed a tranquil setting, with a view of a lotus pond. A short walk from the mausoleum is the lotus shaped One Pillar Pagoda – resting on a single stone pillar emerging from the water. Inside is a statue of the Goddess of Mercy with its legendary “thousand arms and thousand eyes”. After lunch, drive through the edge of the Old Quarter and onto the tree lined boulevard splitting the West Lake and Truc Bach Lake.
